LaVonda H. is a natural-born creative and all-around lover of the arts. Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, LaVonda attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and obtained a BA in Communications Studies.

A passionate writer since the tender age of six, she made her poetic debut in the third grade,when her mother entered her in a poetry contest at a local church, St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Columbia.
